A key sales position has become available with The Chronicle newspaper due to an internal promotion.

This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your sales skills and join Fairfax Media - dedicated to quality journalism and forward thinking via valuable business s olutions.

You will become part of our highly successful advertising sales team and be responsible for the development of a local sales portfolio of advertising customers. You will work on advertising concepts and marketing solutions for a broad range of local businesses from the sale right through ad production to the printed product.

You will develop new and existing business across general news, real estate, features and online advertising. This role is challenging, diverse and can be very rewarding.

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication and liaison skills as the successful person is expected to develop effective working relations with both internal and external stakeholders, providing both advice and support. We’re looking for personality, sales focus, a passion for media and potential.

Previous sales experience is preferred. Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in communications are desirable but not essential. In return, you will be offered a fast paced, diverse sales role with the opportunity to enhance your sales and communication skills in a supportive working environment.
